In the Kitchen this Week

Strawberries, Rhubarb, & Rose Petals combine to make a romantic flavor honoring our fair (yet still gloomy) city, Portland. We call this concoction Rose City Jam & it is delightful on toast, yet even better made into a crostata, or jam tart. We've even been known to mix some into fresh ricotta for the loveliest variation on canoli this side of Sicily! This week it's all about the strawberries, next week, weather permitting, we turn our attention to raspberries, which causes us to get quite rhapsodic!
