Norman, our resident corvid pal is noisily perched in the Doug fir tree reminding me it is time for his namesake jam to be made. He is clever & never misses a beat. In case you didn't know, this concoction is a combination of organic blueberries, blackberries, and Doug fir tip syrup. So very Northwest, so very versatile, and oh-so-Norman. If you think you have tried every imaginable type of jam, think will 'nevermore' feel this way. My favorite way to taste this is with a spoon, altho' scones, buttermilk biscuits, and English muffins are a big hit. I suggest a pot of English breakfast tea, some cream, and a good read. Avoid the news. Concentrate instead upon some poetry.
